The Genesis Mission is a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science initiative with a website supported by the National Design Studio. We work to make genesis.energy.gov accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, using Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility targets.

Our accessibility approach focuses on:

• Keyboard access and visible focus indicators
• Logical headings, landmarks, and link text
• Text alternatives for meaningful images
• Color contrast and content that does not rely on color alone
• Responsive layouts that support zoom and different screen sizes
